THWONK Short Story

This is a net.art experiment: go to thwonk.com, sign up for an account (near the top there is a join button – you have to create an account for me to get your message), and then send me an email at short_story@thwonk.com with whatever you want to add to the story in the subject line. I automatically ignore anything in the email body, so please just use the subject line. As I get new messages, I’ll come back to this page and update the story.

A magician wandered along the beach, but no one needed him. Except me… For I am the one that seeks the wanderer! Many have tried, and many have failed, but I am not like many women. We are alike, he and I. We both wander, but I do not possess his freedom or hunger to walk, to go, to see. I’ve become complacent in many aspects of my life. Sometimes, I fear I will be unable to go on.

  1. Here is my blog post with a few more details: http://digitalbane.wordpress.com/2009/10/27/thwonk/

  2. FYI: I just added a feedback/return email to the mailing list so people know their message(s) went through correctly (for the interim between when I get the message and when I update this site). I’m still trying to figure out the best way to update this page automatically.
